Repeat Prescriptions

For safety reasons we do not take requests for repeat medication over the telephone. Please make all requests in writing giving at least 48 hours notice using the computerised repeat script form where possible to avoid the risk of errors.

Requests can be posted into the prescription box in the surgery reception area, sent by post to the address overleaf. Please remember to tick all items required.

Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription directly through this site. Our reception staff can give you details on how to access this service.

Prescription Collection Service

Prescriptions can also be collected in person from the surgery or they can be sent to you by post if you provide a stamped addressed envelope

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
